The Consecration of the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in June of 2026, with the Soleminity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus being on June 12, 2026 (always 19 days after Pentecost), is indeed a big event for America. Attention Louisiana! After many years of preparing, we must now "triple-down" to continue to prepare for the days ahead! America greatly needs this Consecration and the power that will result from it, as the Church moves toward the Jubilee Year and Pentecost 2033!
Click here to see the prayer that was actually prayed, by Louisiana Catholics (and others), on the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in 2020, at the headwaters of the "Great River" at Lake Itasca, MN. When that Holy Water (gathered from many venues around the world by Louisiana Catholics) was poured there that day, Holy Water was also being poured, and prayers were being prayed, at numerous rivers that flow into that "Great River"! This 2020 prayer continues to be prayed - even today! With the upcoming June 12th feast day in mind, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, let us continue to pray it for America! Praise God! Hail to Our Lady! That Holy Water was poured under the inspiration of, and led by Our Lady, under Her title of Our Lady of America!

As one can read, a prayer request was made in 2020, within that prayer, with respect to the Sacred Heart of Jesus has come to fruition on June 11 and 12, 2026 across America! That specific prayer request made in 2020 was:
"THROUGH THE GUIDANCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, MAY WE BRING THE ENTIRE COUNTRY BACK TO HIS SACRED HEART AND THE IMMACULATE HEART OF HIS MOTHER, MARY!"
Another specific prayer request prayed in the 2020 prayer was:
"MAY IT BRING FORTH A NEW SPRINGTIME AND SPREAD THE LOVE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST FROM EAST TO WEST AND FROM NORTH TO SOUTH THROUGHOUT THIS NATION."
In fact, in 2024, Jesus Christ, actually began to cross America from East to West and from North to South, commencing on the Pentecost weekend of 2024, as He began to personally (body, blood, soul and divinity) travel the roads of America by virtue of multiple Eucharistic Pilgrimages! Note of interest: At the same exact location at Lake Itasca, MN, where the Holy Water was poured in 2001 and 2020, is where the Marian Route of the Eucharistic Pilgrimages began on Pentecost, 2024. This is certainly not a coincidence but a confirmation of that unique location and a signal grace to us all!
So much of South Louisiana's past is tied to that "Great River". The waters that have flowed southerly through the "Heart" of America over the centuries have built the most recent Modern Delta of Louisiana. The most southerly "naturally-built" land from that river is where this website is published - the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux! A land at the very end of that flowing river. The land where we live came from all points northerly!
Much of the "Louisiana Sacred Story" is about that river, and the land that river built, and the "Eucharistic Anointing" that is expected to continue to come from Louisiana, as the Church heads toward the Jubilee Year of 2033, and Pentecost 2033, on June 5th of that year!
What a promised and new "Springtime" that is available!
Come, Holy Spirit!
Louisiana "cries" for America! We also loudly "cry out" and remind, anyone that will listen, that on the Feast of the Annunciation (in 2024 prohetically on April 8th), Our Lady undoubtedly gave America a very serious "Nineveh-type announcement/warning" for Life that should not have been missed...but has been mostly missed!
To this day, a large part of America has tried to find all sorts of legal and medical ways to circumvent around, and to avoid, supporting Life from the Mother's womb, to the elderly's tomb...and at all points in between! America has yet to fully obey Her in this matter! That places a heavy burden of guilt on America! We will not escape the penalty for that failure to obey Her. Let us repent and return to a culture of "Life"!
It was the same sort of "Life" message She gave in Mexico approximately 500 years ago! Her Children, of those days, listened to Her by the images She left behind! In 2024, She used the real sun and moon in the heavenlies, as signs to us in the real sky, to try and get America's attention to the serious issues of Life. America continues to refuse to fully listen and to obey Her! To see more details about all that, please click here.
Absolutely, no question about it, only God knows the hour and the day of His coming (Matthew 24:36-44)! At the same time, we are still required to hear, listen and discern the signs, as stated in the Gospel reading of November 25, 2025 (Luke 21:5-11), but especially in verse 11, where it is proclaimed:
11 There will be powerful earthquakes, famines, and plagues from place to place; and awesome sights and mighty signs will come from the sky.
On April 8, 2024, America was given one of those mighty signs!
One can discern the importance of that gospel announcement in the sky, during this "time of grace", by using some level of experience and wisdom, as explained in Luke 12:54-56:
54 He also said to the crowds, “When you see [a] cloud rising in the west you say immediately that it is going to rain—and so it does;
55 and when you notice that the wind is blowing from the south you say that it is going to be hot—and so it is.
56 You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky; why do you not know how to interpret the present time?
Our Lady of Medjugorje's message dated November 25, 2025:
“Dear children! In this time of grace, I am calling you to follow me. Pray for those who do not pray and do not want peace and joy, which only the Most High can give. May your souls be united in the joy of expectancy and your heart will be filled with peace. You will be convinced, little children, that all will be good and that God will bless all; because the good that you give will return to you, and joy will enfold your heart because you are with God and in God. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
In specifically obeying and responding to Her Motherly message of November, 2025, let us then:
Follow Her!
Pray for those who do not want peace and joy!
Be united in the joy of expectancy!
Be convinced, that all will be good and that God will bless all!
Only give good!
Be with God and in God!
In expectation:

If you are anywhere near St. Francis de Sales Cathedral, in Houma, LA, at 4:00 pm, on any First Friday of the month, you are welcome to join the Cathedral's parishioners (and others) in honoring the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Note: This unique cathedral is erected upon the most southerly land built "naturally" by the "Great River". The area of land that this Cathedral stands on was built by the waters flowing during the time of the Annunciation and the birth of Jesus - approximately 2,000 years ago. A unique land that is the natural composition of the best lands northerly of it! Land that has been transferred southerly by waters relocating the "good earth" from the 31 states and Canada northerly of it! Land that is from "the "Heart" of America! No place like it anywhere in the world...and sybolized by the Mother pelican feeding her baby chicks...a symbol of the Eucharist! For much more on that, please click here.
To confirm God's providential "goodness" in all the above, the civil parish this cathedral is domiciled in was named "Terrebonne Parish" in 1822... and that is translated as, "Good Earth"! Thank you Lord!

This same cathedral is the "seat" of the new "good" Bishop of Houma-Thibodaux (Bishop Simon Peter Engurait). Bishop Engurait is the first African-born bishop assigned to a diocese in the mainland of America, since this country began by a Pope with generational roots in Louisiana. If in Houma, please also consider making a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Compassionate Protection on the southerly side of the city. This is the location where Our Lady was claimed to have appeared to a local man in response to the prayer of his wife at that same cathedral on March 17, 1996.
Masses are celebrated at that shrine, in Houma, each 17th of the month since that appearance. More about the 1996 appearance, and what happened after it, can be found by clicking on these links produced by:

Interestingly, that shrine is the same location where the Sixth Glorious Mystery began on May 17, 1998.
On May 17, 2000, at that same shrine, there were events that took place connected to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and His healing power. Click here to read a little about that miraculous encounter. The statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus statue, erected where that event occurred, was photographed crying tears on August 18, 2021. There are indeed so many reasons why Jesus might be crying tears for Louisiana and America on that day!
To remember that May 17th event, in May of 2012, a statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was placed at the exact location, at the shrine, where the small statue was dug up in 2000. It was placed there to honor that healing event and to testify to the power of having a personal devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
All was not well in 2021. On August 18, 2021, with the sick state of America at that time (while America and His Church were "living" a real "Dark Winter"), photographs were taken at the Sacred Heart statue, at the Shrine of Our Lady of Compassionate Protection, in Houma, by a visiting pilgrim. These images clearly showed a "grieving" Jesus crying tears! To see those images, please click here. There can be little doubt that He is crying for at least America! It is hoped that Consecration of America to His Sacred Heart is a sign of America seriously turning to Him for healing! The Church thanks the USCCB, for their allowing that body to be led by the Holy Spirit, to declare this Consecration!
If in Thibodaux, please visit the original statue of Our Lady of America at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on Nicholls State University where the original Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of America resides. While there, stop in the Two Hearts Adoration Chapel adjoining the church.
In all things, the Holy Spirit will give us every sign needed to move in concert with His Holy and Divine Will. Certainly to move in the fullness of the Divine Will is to allow Jesus to bring you to The Father! To see what living in the Divine Will might have to say about that, please click here.
With that stated, and before closing this chapter dedicated to Louisiana and its devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, it would be very appropriate to now cite a few sentences from the approved messages given by God, The Father to Mother Eugenia Elisabetta Ravasio.
In Part II of those messages, that began on August 12, 1932, under the pontificate of Pope Pius XI, The Father stated:
I communicated to My Vicar, the Supreme Pontiff, My Representative on earth, a very special prediliction for the missionary apostalate in distant countries and, most of all, a great zeal to spread throughout the world the devotion to the Sacred Heart of My Son Jesus. Now I am entrusting him with the work that this same Jesus came on earth to accomplish: to glorify Me by making Me known as I am, just as I am telling all men, My creatures and children.
If men could penetrate the Heart of Jesus in all Its desires and Its glory, they would realize that Its most ardent desire is to glorify the Father, the One Who sent Him, and, most of all, not to let His glory be diminished as it has been until now. He desires the complete glory that men can and must give Me, as their Father and Maker, and still more as the Author of their Redemption!
